Holiday Lights & Folk Art Display
The village of Bluffton, Ohio, displays a lighted collection of vintage Christmas folk art on the lawn of Bluffton Presbyterian Church, at 112 N Main St. The display is just 2-4 minutes from exits 140 and 142 on I-75.
Amid towering lighted evergreens, the Ream folk art display turns the downtown business district into a sparkling destination for the month of December. Now featured on Ohio.org's Holiday Lights Trail, the village added almost 1.5 miles of light strands in 2018.
REAM DISPLAY
Farmer Harry Ream and his wife Dorothy started making and displaying Christmas decorations in 1938. In the mid-80s, the Ream family donated 168 wood cutouts to the village. Dozens more have been added by artist Terry Mullenhour.
THROUGHOUT THE VILLAGE
Families join in the Blaze spirit with holiday decorations including Ream-style cutout figures. The chamber conducts an annual decorating contest with prizes awarded in "Bluffton Bucks."
BLAZE TEAMWORK
The Blaze of Lights is a tradition of more than 30 years in the making. It is the work of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Bluffton, and countless volunteers.
